FLESH MECHANIC Basically every song on this album has a structure similar to those on progressive metal albums. You never know what to expect and how the song will shift in the next few seconds. That makes listening to it very interesting. Also, this is probably my favorite sound Glitch Black has used so far. Hard to pick a favorite song though, had to decide between Starcatcher and Forever War. Favorite track: Starcatcher.

palehorse666 If Frieza and the Ginyu Force made a darksynth album. It tells the story of galactic dominination very similar to Volkor X, imo. Favorite track: Flight of the Damned.

RAPIDPUNCHES SO EPIC. I'D FIGHT 12 BOSSES WITH THREE FORMS EACH TO THIS SOUNDTRACK. Favorite track: Flight of the Damned.

kmxexii The grim saga of defenders of a doomed world. World's Ruin is almost entirely dark, depressing outrun. There is no heroism; only desperation. Well, I think "Starcatcher" has a certain poignancy in its opening, my highlight thanks to its litany of layered hooks. I also like the galloping beat and rapid arpegs of "Flight of the Damned". "Rubicon" spits out synth notes at laser speed as the wholesale slaughter continues. The album's crushing inevitability makes this difficult to listen to at times. Favorite track: Starcatcher.

about

After venturing deep into uncharted regions of space, a young spacefaring civilization finally discovers they are not alone.
But the celebration of first contact quickly turns to horror as the slaughter begins.
The few lucky survivors race back to their homeworld with just enough time to form a counter attack to fight their new alien enemy. Geared up and ready for battle, they head back into the void of space to meet their foe head on.
But the attack soon falls apart and the aliens follow them to their homeworld, where war and chaos spread across the land like a cancer.
After years of endless warfare, only a few inhabitants remain.
And they know they're the last.
With alien attack ships closing in, they gaze upon the shattered landscape of their once peaceful home for the last time.
Under a darkening sky, they bid farewell to a world in ruin.

This tale is one of many passed down through the annals of time and space, retold from memory by Glitch Black for the benefit of Earth and its future descendants.

about

Glitch Black Seattle, Washington

From interdimensional hyperspace comes an apparition that tore itself from the frayed fabric of the universe. Clearly this being doesn't belong in this world. He is Glitch Black. And he makes music to keep this dimension from falling apart.
